Twenty-six Years of Science, Sound and Imagination
Jason Harrelson began modifying mouthpieces and trim kits in 1993 and completed his first full-scale trumpet project in 1996. He has since built nearly 1000 experimental brass instruments while maintaining steady production of custom trumpets designed and built for clients individually. In fact, the wait list for a new Harrelson Trumpet has averaged over 8 months since 2002 due to high demand.
Today, most custom trumpets are finished in 6 to 9 months. However, many of the art projects shown throughout the gallery required 10 to 24 months from start to finish depending on complexity and scheduling.
