VPS Summit One "All Seeing Eye" in Bb
The Summit One model is a limited edition of 100 trumpets, each custom built to the client's specifications with the exception of the last dozen or so, which have yet to be built. We will be releasing the remaining Summit One instruments from this limited edition series over the next four months. Each of these new trumpets will be released to the online public for one week only, then moved to our Showroom-only inventory, which is reserved for visiting clients to purchase. Built as a great all around horn suitable for almost any playing situation including Jazz combo, symphonic band, big band, and lead, this VPS Summit One features our Venturi Gap Receiver system that offers full adjustment of flexibility, slotting, air flow and resonance. Combined with our Modular Mouthpiece system, the player is guaranteed a perfect fit in all genres thanks to a completely adjustable instrument that can be fine tuned at any time.
I designed this particular Summit One with leadpipe 4 and bell 10 to create an incredibly versatile trumpet that will sound warm and vibrant in all genres. The closest comparison to a factory horn in terms of tone quality would be a Bach 72 bell played with a big mouthpiece. I spent extra time hand faceting the top and bottom caps, then combined Delrin stems and finger button bases with the brass trim to create contrast. The raw brass finish can be preserved to look like new by applying oil or carnauba wax.
