My 5th generation Summit is the lightest, easiest playing instrument in Harrelson history! Extremely high efficiency 3D printed stainless steel options include your choice of five leadpipes and four tuning slide that will never rot or dent. Experience extreme weight savings, improved response, efficiency, and stability. All bracing is 3D printed in stainless steel utilizing topology optimization and FEA (finite element analysis) design tools. Topology Optimized Bracing - Improved efficiency through design includes bell coupler, leadpipe to bell bracing around valve casing, first slide to bell brace, and 3rd slide stop brace. 3D printed from solid Stainless Steel, this new bracing is up to half the weight when compared to our previously CNC machined designs and offers more than double the surface area contact. This results in further increasing SWE while improving stability in the upper register, overall response, and stretching the dynamic range beyond that of our 4th generation Summit.
Topology Optimized One-piece Tuning Slide & Bell Crook - Greatly improved efficiency within the tuning slide providing more stability in the upper register through a new production process and topology optimization specifically engineered to resist anti-nodal high pressure zones on every partial through double high E. This means you can play in the upper register without working harder. Simply set up the appropriate frequency with your embouchure matched to the necessary air pressure and velocity to play any note at any dynamic level, much like playing a piano. Our new G5 Light tuning slide is under 4 ounces, which is a 50% weight savings over 3rd generation designs. And our new matching Bell Crook weight has been reduced even more!
