Built as a great all around horn suitable for almost any playing situation including Jazz combo, symphonic band, big band, and lead, this VPS Summit features our Venturi Gap Receiver system that offers full adjustment of flexibility, slotting, air flow and resonance. Combined with our Modular Mouthpiece system, the player is guaranteed a perfect fit in all genres thanks to a completely adjustable instrument that can be fine tuned at any time.
I designed this particular Summit One with leadpipe 3 and bell 10LT to create an incredibly versatile trumpet that will sound warm and huge in all genres much like a cornet, but with the ability to brighten up when pushed. This configuration creates a conical taper from the leadpipe through the bell that will play and sound much like a cornet with the correct mouthpiece. You can easily adjust tone color and attack with our modular mouthpiece system.
